Pathway students build solar ovens

Jan 15, 2013 - 11:10 AM
The students in Sonoma Valley High School’s new Engineering, Design, and Technology pathway worked last week in teams to develop solar cookers. After much trial and error, they cooked and ate nachos in their solar-powered ovens. The pathway, which centers around linked-learning across the high school curriculum, has 60 sophomore students enrolled this year. Pictured, left to right are sophomores Bernardo Aparicio, Connor Magnani and Stephen Orr.
