It’s time once again for the annual pancake breakfast to support the Sonoma Valley High School Music Department, now in its fourth year. This year’s event is called "Celebrate Music" and will feature music performances from students from the high school throughout the morning, with a performance by Elan and Mad and Eddie Duran at 1 p.m. The event goes off on Sunday, Feb. 3, at 8 a.m. at the Sonoma Valley Veterans Memorial Building. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at Whole Foods.

Another benefit for the Sonoma Valley High School is happening tonight, Feb. 1, at the Moose Lodge, and this one is for the Boosters Club. Called the “Down 'n' Dirty Crab Feed,” and unfortunately, the crab feed portion of the evening is sold out, but there are dance-only tickets available for dancing to the Scallywags, who kick off at 8:30 p.m. Those tickets are available by calling 235-4150.

It’s a punk rock show of epic proportions at the El Verano Inn on Saturday, Feb. 2, starting at 9 p.m. that will feature some of Sonoma Valley’s finest punk acts. The Roadside Bombs, Working Stiffs, Them Creatures, the Quitters and High and Tight will all be on the bill. There is no cover for the show.

Murphy’s Irish Pub has Adam Traum and Liz Brown tonight, Feb. 1, kicking off at 8 p.m. for a night of country, folk and bluegrass. Saturday, Feb. 2, it’s Andrew Freeman, also for an 8 p.m. show.

The Kathmandu Corner welcomes Ian Hinkley and Friends on Saturday, Feb. 2, for an 8 p.m. show.

The Gristmill Bar and Grill in Glen Ellen welcomes the Alan Early Trio on Saturday, Feb. 2, for an evening of jazz standards, kicking off at 6 p.m.

The Annex Wine Bar has Sean Carscadden and Cliff Hugo tonight Feb. 1, kicking off at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, it’s Wildflower Weed and opening the night will be Judy Williams for a short set that gets underway at 6:30 p.m. There is no cover either night.

The Sonoma Springs Brewery presents Tom Martin tonight, Feb. 1, for a 6 p.m. show.

The Plaza Bistro has the Dick Conte Trio tonight, Feb. 1, for a 6:30 p.m. show. Tonight, Conte will have with him Steve Webber on bass and Bill Moody on drums. There is no cover for the show.

The Epicurean Connection has Jack Hines and Chris Vibberts tonight, Feb 1, for an 8 p.m. show. The evening is also the kick-off of a gallery show from the Fanucchi Family of El Verano, with paintings by George Fanucchi using oils; Tony with acryllic, pen and ink and wood carving; and James with photography. You can sometimes catch James’ images gracing the pages of the Index-Tribune.

The Sunflower Caffe also has an art opening tonight, Feb. 1, featuring Yuvak Tuladhar, and music from JoyRide. The evening gets underway at 5 p.m.

The Blue Moon Saloon has the Sunday night blues jam, on Sunday, Feb. 3, commencing at 10 p.m.

Tommy Thomsen will be in Healdsburg at the Bergamot Alley Wine Bar on Sunday, Feb. 3, at 5:30 p.m.

If your gig isn’t in my column, you didn’t tell me about it. Hit me up at the address up by the picture.
