Library hosts ebook info session Wednesday

Valley residents who received a new iPad, Nook, Kindle, Smartphone or other eReader this holiday season – or are thinking about buying one – can find information about the electronic readersat the Sonoma County Library Hands-on Digital Petting Zoo.

Attendees can try out the devices or bring their own.

The Sonoma Valley Regional Library will host a session from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16.

There will be a second, daytime session, from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13.

This is a drop-in program where attendees can try out some of the most popular eReaders and Audiobook devices, including iPads, Nooks, Kindles – all of which are compatible with the library's downloadable ebook and audiobook services. Sonoma County Library staff will be on hand to answer questions about the various devices. No registration is necessary for these programs, which are free and open to the public.

Just bring your valid Sonoma County Library card.

The Sonoma Valley Regional Library is located at 755 W. Napa St., in Sonoma.
