How can this happen?

  I am heartsick to hear this news. I am very proud to say my son attended Hanna for three years. During that time, both my parents passed away and I got to know Father Crews very well. He was the most kind, compassionate human being I may have ever met.

  For all the good he did for each and every single boy who passed through Hanna’s doors, what I can’t understand is how can a man so wonderful, who has given nearly 30 years of his life to this school, be kicked to the curb.

  No support? Just accept an allegation from nearly 50 years ago? How can this happen? This is destroying a lot of kids who are attending Hanna right now. Take a look at the allegation. It was not made by the alleged victim, it took nearly 50 years for it to come forth.

  I think Father should have stayed. I know he would have had the entire community behind him. It will be extremely difficult to find a replacement, if ever.

  I still urge donors to give to Hanna Boys Center; it is the most wonderful place, and there are not many like it in this country.
