Hospice offers volunteer training

Feb 14, 2013 - 06:13 PM

Hospice By The Bay is offering volunteer training in Sonoma.

The training will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on Feb. 20, 22 and 27, March 1 and 6, at Hospice By The Bay, 190 W. Napa St., Sonoma.

Hospice By The Bay’s direct care volunteers support terminally ill patients and their families in Sonoma County. Patient care volunteers provide companionship and practical and emotional support. Complementary care volunteers offer energy work, bodywork, music at the bedside or animal social visits and must be certified in their fields.

For more information, see hbtb.org/ and click on the Support Us tab, or call the volunteer coordinator at 935-7504 for more information.

Hospice By The Bay, which serves Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Sonoma counties, is dedicated to providing the highest quality of end-of-life care to patients and their families regardless of their ability to pay.

Hospice By The Bay also serves people whose lives have been affected by the loss of a loved one through its community grief support program.
