Hays to conduct Chorale concert

 

Mark Hays, a composer, arranger, pianist and conductor will be conducting the Sonoma Valley Chorale in a variety of his original music and arranged scores.

  The concert is set for Saturday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 24, at 2 p.m. at the Sonoma Valley Veterans Memorial Building, 126 First St. W.

  Hays is the winner of an award from the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers and the Gospel Music Association’s Dove Award. He will also be leading a workshop on Saturday afternoon, before the concert, from 1 to 4 p.m., open to singers, conductors and other interested parties. Tickets are $20 general, $16 for seniors and $10 for children (under 12) and can be purchased at Pharmaca, the UPS Store, at the door or by calling 935-1576.
