Gorin names Gilardi as district director

First District Supervisor Susan Gorin’s district director, Pat Gilardi, will start on Jan. 28.

The district director is the sole staff person for each supervisor and is responsible for constituent services, scheduling and representing the supervisor throughout the community when the supervisor is unable.

“I am so pleased to be working with Pat on behalf of the First District. She brings a wealth of professional experience and personal qualities that will serve our constituents well and ensure they have responsive and effective representation,” Gorin said. “Beyond being a policy expert, she also brings private sector experience and understands the challenges facing the community.”

Gilardi said, “It is an honor to work for Supervisor Gorin and the people of the First District. I share Supervisor Gorin’s staunch commitment to ensuring that government is responsive, effective and working every day to improve our community’s quality of life.”

Gilardi has worked for the Marin Independent Journal since 1987 managing advertising sales. In addition, she has been active in policy as a member of the Cotati City Council since 2000. 

Prior to her appointment as Gorin’s district director, Gilardi will be resigning from her city council position. Gilardi has also been active in numerous civic and nonprofit groups.
