Free Preschool Fair set for March 16

Feb 21, 2013 - 07:33 PM

The Sonoma Valley Mother’s Club will be hosting a Preschool Fair on Saturday, March 16, 2013, from 10 a.m. to noon The fair is open to everyone in the community free of charge at the Sonoma Valley Veterans Memorial Building, 126 First St West, Sonoma.

Parents can meet individually with representatives from local preschools who will be at tables well-stocked with information. It’s a chance to gain general information about choosing a preschool/care program from the Community Childcare Council (4Cs) and learn about other services the 4Cs offers families. Attendees can sample other activities for preschoolers as teachers of music, art and other activities will be on hand to describe their programs. The children’s librarian from the Sonoma Valley Regional Library will showcase the wide variety of children’s books available.

All are welcome to join in, including children, but parents should note that childcare will not be provided. Refreshments will be served.

The Mother’s Club is presenting the Preschool Fair as part of its continuing efforts to create an atmosphere of support, education and socialization for families with young children. The SVMC provides resources to empower mothers to be the best they can be, to grow their parenting skills, gain emotional support and friendship and become familiar with local resources for children and families. Membership is open to all for a small annual fee (scholarships are available). Visit sonomamothersclub.org for additional information about the club.
