Dunbar begins Melodrama rehearsals

 Dunbar School is kicking off the 21st season of its fifth-grade Melodrama Project. Auditions were held in December and rehearsals start this month. This year’s play is “A Bad Day at Gopher’s Breath” and, as has become tradition, the performances will be held on Memorial Day weekend under the majestic oak trees surrounding Dunbar’s Haver Stage. Kate Kennedy will be serving as director for the 11th time. This month, Dunbar is kicking off a capital campaign for the Melodrama Project to help launch the next 20 years of the school’s beloved tradition. Donations of any size are appreciated. Checks can made out to Dunbar School Fifth Grade Play and dropped off at the school office, or mailed to 11700 Dunbar Rd., Glen Ellen, Calif. 95442.
