Duck with dart evades rescue
A male mallard with a dart through its cheek evaded capture by wildlife rescuers who tried to corral it in Fryer Creek just north of MacArthur Street. Several attempts to catch the duck have been made by both official rescue organizations and by caring locals, but as of Friday afternoon, the bird was still floating free, seemingly unaffected by the dart. A sign has been posted nearby stating that police and Fish and Game officials have been notified. If anyone succeeds in capturing the wounded waterfowl, they should contact Bird Rescue in Santa Rosa at 523-2473.

Why and the heck would anyone do this? Why and the hell would any parent buy this kind of crap for their kid. What the heck are they thinking. I hope to that karma comes back fast on this person who did this. We are busting out butts trying to help this mallard out-he has every right to live and mate and be free.
