Dragons sweep past Healdsburg, Eureka to reach Casa tourney final
Junior Devon Graff – who pitched a complete game, three-hit shutout for Sonoma in its nonleague win over Healdsburg in yesterday’s Adam Wescott Memorial Tournament opener at Casa Grande in Petaluma – readies to make a pitch at Arnold Field during the Dragons’ earlier victory over Eureka, which they also beat in yesterday’s Casa Grande tourney.

Keeping up their positive preseason play, while priming to defend their Sonoma County League crown, the Sonoma Valley High School varsity baseball boys rode back-to-back complete-game pitching performances to a pair of wins yesterday in Casa Grande’s annual Adam Wescott Memorial Tournament in Petaluma.
The defending SCL champion Dragons opened the tourney by blanking league rival Healdsburg 6-0 as junior Devon Graff fired a three-hitter, then rallied behind junior ace Jimmy Flatt for a 5-2 victory over North Coast Section Division-3 foe Eureka to reach tomorrow’s, Saturday, March 23, 2 p.m. tournament title game.
Leading Sonoma’s offensive attack in the two tourney wins were senior Jonah Son’s four RBIs and senior Garrett Walker’s three RBIs, while the defense was anchored by junior shortstop Dan Deely.
