Getting their 2013 Sonoma County League season off to a roaring start, the defending SCL champion Sonoma Valley High School tennis boys served up an impressive performance in soundly defeating longtime rival Petaluma 6-1 yesterday afternoon at the high school courts.

The Dragon boy netters – who host new SCL foe Piner at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 28, at the high school courts – swept the singles matches, highlighted by seniors Sean Hall’s and Stephen Montano’s dominating victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, and then won two-of-three doubles matches.
