Cat in the Hat returns

The beloved Dr. Seuss character, the Cat in the Hat returned to Dunbar Elementary School Friday after students brought him across the country by reading. For every 20 minutes the students read, the cat traveled a mile. In a 30-day span, the students read 136,602 minutes, enough for 6,830 miles, easily topping the 3,750 miles the cat traveled last year. After coming into the multipurpose room in front of all the students, the cat went from room-to-room to hand out prizes.
