Your choice: courteous smoker or assault weapons
Editor, Index-Tribune:
Ours has become a nation of mental health and politically correct and incorrect thought colliding like the Titanic. If one owns a condo or dwells in an apartment, smoking cigarettes is prohibited Jan. 1. For recent buyers who weren’t informed by their real estate agent, this could cause legal complications. At this point in time, I believe cigarettes are legal.
On the other hand, I trudged reluctantly through a big box store in Napa only to find a magazine called Shooter, with its main feature being semi-automatic weapons. The sounds of “Come Let Us Adore Him” glistened through the air, past the BB guns, and 25 yard away mangers depicting the Holy Family sat waiting for us.
Would you prefer a courteous smoker who goes outside or a neighbor with a collection of assault weapons?
I am, and perhaps the world at large is, in the midst of a break with reality.

In all reality --- neither.
Please don't give Cathleen a gun. She sounds "off" to me.
