Workshop for women set Thursday at Meadowcroft
“Reclaiming Your Body: The Ultimate Anti-Aging Formula: A 6 Step GPS to Feeling Wonder-Full” created and hosted by Katherine “Kat” Forsythe, MSW, continues on Thursday, Aug. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Meadowcroft Wines tasting room, 23574 Arnold Drive at Cornerstone Sonoma.
This is the third of four sessions designed for “boomer and beyond” women. Admission is free but seating is limited.
Since 1986, Forsythe has been working with women of all ages to address issues and challenges in body image, intimacy and relationships. “I wanted tools to rearrange our thinking from woe to wonderful, especially when we start to go south on self-confidence about our bodies,” said Forsythe. “Among the hundreds of women I have counseled, very few are happy with the way they look naturally. Most want to be told we look at least 10 years younger. Letting go of the way we were and accepting the way we are is not a simple task.”
Of the four-part, six-step program, steps four and five will be offered at the Aug. 23 session. Step 4 is titled “Adorn.” According to Forsythe, “Adorn means treating ourselves to new drapery for our newly appreciated hard working, exquisite bodies.” Of Step 5, “Admire,” Forsythe said, “Here’s where we step back and marvel at our redefined respect for our body ...”
Glasses of wine and cheese platters will be available for purchase at the event. The fourth and final part of the series takes place on Sept. 27 also at the Meadowcroft Wines tasting room.
Guests are asked to pre-register for each session individually at www.getasecondwind.com/content/register.
