Wineries to open the cellar doors this weekend

The joyful multi-winery open house known as Holiday in Carneros is set for this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 17 and 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

  Nearly 20 wineries in the Carneros region of the Sonoma and Napa valleys will open their doors to kick-start the season of shopping. Each winery will offer its own events, which include food and wine pairings, live music, art or craft shows, special tastings (barrel, reserve, library and new release), discounts or special pricing.

  Wineries expected to participate include Adastra Wines, Anaba Wines, Bonneau Wines, Ceja Vineyards, Cline Cellars, Enkidu Wine, Gloria Ferrer Caves and Vineyards, Homewood Winery, Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, Keating Wines, Larson Family Winery, Meadowcroft Wines, Robledo Family Winery, Schug Carneros Estate, Talisman Wines, Tin Barn Vineyards and Ty Caton Vineyards.

  The cost is $39 in advance, or $45 day of. Designated drivers can get a ticket with no tastings for $10.
