What’s open, closed this weekend

Thursday, Nov. 22, is Thanksgiving Day and almost all government offices will be closed that day, but a number are also closed on Friday.

The Sonoma County offices in Santa Rosa are closed both Thursday and Friday.

The City of Sonoma offices are closed Thursday and again Friday as is the office of the Valley of the Moon Water District. The Sonoma Valley Regional Library is closed both Thursday and Friday, but will be open on Saturday.

Garbage pickup both with the Sonoma Garbage Collector in the City of Sonoma and with Redwood Empire Disposal in the county will be delayed a day. Thursday’s pickup will be made Friday while Friday’s pickup will be made Saturday.

The Sonoma County Transit Agency will not run any buses on Thursday and on Friday will operate a Saturday schedule.

All banks will be closed Thursday.

The Sonoma Valley Unified School District is closed all week as Monday, Nov. 19 and Tuesday, Nov. 20 are furlough days. Classes resume Monday, Nov. 26.

The offices of the Index-Tribune will be closed on Thursday, but will be open normal hours on Friday.
