Water’s rising

At least four vehicles got stuck in flood waters Friday morning at the intersection of Highways 12 and 121 in Schellville. In addition to the stuck cars, there were a couple of reports of downed trees, and an 18-wheeler took down a street light on the corner of First Street West and West Napa. The National Weather Service issued a flash-flood warning until 7 p.m. Friday for most of the North Bay including Sonoma Valley.

Boy does this bring back memories of hanging out with the Carpadus', Mulas' and Kizers at the barricades by the Lazy Dee waiting for someone to drive past and get stuck. Gary had a big high-wheel tractor and would pull them out for a 10-spot.
