Warren C. Bamford
Warren C. Bamford, 94, was born to C.F. (Fred) and Alma Bamford in Marshall, Minn. and passed away on Nov. 10, 2012.
He was employed in a retail hardware store after graduating from high school. He married Arline Hemmingsen, of Marshall, in 1941.
He served three years in the U.S. Army during World War II. He then traveled as an outside salesman for a wholesale hardwares firm.
He retired in 1984 and moved to Sonoma in 1985 and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church since then.
He was proceeded in death by a daughter, Karen; and wife, Arline, of 58 years.
A son, Scott, of Sonoma, survives as well as four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
His hobbies were hunting, building model airplanes, trains and listening to big band music. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and Warbirds of America.
Friends are invited to a memorial service at the Faith Lutheran Church, 19355 Arnold Drive, Sonoma at 1 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012. Officiating will be Pastor Tom Windsor. A private inurnment will be held at Mountain Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or Hospice By The Bay.
