Wait for the facts at SDC

  Just a few words of caution lest we are quick to judge and blame without having all the facts.

  Fact #1. Jim Rogers, respected, former executive director at the Sonoma Developmental Center, was not fired or “removed” from his position as a result of the taser incident.  He, for many reasons of his own, resigned.

  Fact #2. The staff at SDC are dedicated professionals and are appalled at the abuse someone has inflicted on residents who cannot defend themselves.

  Fact #3. Sensationalizing this sad story without all the facts demoralizes the caretakers and adds to their already over-stressed work lives.

  Let’s wait until all the information is in, before we condemn.
