VFW Aux supports FISH

VFW Auxiliary presents a check in the amount of $500 to FISH on Saturday, Feb. 4, at FISH-Central in Boyes Hot Springs. The donation was made possible by the successful pasta dinner hosted by the VFW Auxiliary on Saturday, Jan. 21.

Vicki Schnurpfeil of FISH said that the money came just in time to help a local veteran with housing needs, and added that the donation inspired FISH to create a fund earmarked to meet emergency needs of veterans in Sonoma and the Valley.  

The VFW Auxiliary plans to host one each year, with a goal of choosing a different nonprofit or service organization to support.
