Woodland Star teacher wins $1,000

Woodland Star Charter School first grade teacher Phil Stone (pictured here with his class) recently won an international online contest called, “Teacher Monday: Cash for Classrooms,” offered by Del Monte Fresh Produce. Stone won $750 in cash, and $250 in fresh Del Monte fruit for his classroom, by writing an essay about how he would incorporate healthy eating messages into classroom lesson plans, and by collecting online votes from his fans.
