Take it to the catwalk
CEE CEE PONSICAN struts the runway at last year’s Fashion in the Vineyards.
It’s that time of the year, when the latest fashions for fall come pouring out of designer warehouses. Here in Sonoma, it’s time for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley’s 10th annual Fashion in the Vineyards benefit, set for Saturday, Sept. 29. New this year, the day will began at 11 a.m. and include a sit-down brunch and fashion show.
Napa’s Helen Lyall – Clothes for Women is again producing the New York-style runway show, highlighting the latest elegant fashions for fall. The men’s fashions will be provided by Scott Lyall for Men, also of Napa, while Sonoma’s Eraldi’s Menswear and Shoes will be sponsoring the tuxedos.
The beloved Boys & Girls Club youth show is sponsored by and features clothing from Sonoma Old School Skate and Surf. Local designer Julie Schindler Design will open the show with her latest designs.
Guests can linger after the show to purchase any of the clothing straight off the runway of the Fashion Show.
The event begins with a reception where guests can enjoy Uncle Val’s Botanical Gin Fizzes, bloody Marys and mimosas.
The event also includes a raffle and short live auction to benefit afterschool educational and enrichment programs at the Boys & Girls Club.
Tickets are $125 each. To purchase tickets, call 938-8544, ext. 120, or visit www.bgcsonoma.org/fashion.
