‘Take This Waltz’ screened at Gun Bun
Gunlach Bundschu Winery is again throwing its support behind the Sonoma International Film Festival by providing the venue for a sneak peek movie night. See the independent feature “Take This Waltz” on Saturday, June 30, before it is released in theaters.
The event, which runs from 6 to 11 p.m., includes dinner from Crossroads Chicken and Ultra Crepes with live music from the band Crossfire. Gundlach Bundschu wines will be available for purchase. As the night grows dark, the crowd will settle into the hillside for a screening under the stars.
Starring Seth Rogen (“Superbad”) and Michelle Williams (“Brokeback Mountain”), “Take This Waltz” follows the story of a married woman who finds herself yearning for the artist who lives across the street. Directed by Sarah Polley, the film premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival to rave reviews.
Tickets are $35 for general admission or $50 for VIP access, which includes wine and reserved seating. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit film festival, which this year brought more than 140 films to Sonoma. Tickets can be purchased at www.sonomafilmfest.org.
