As part of its newly formed Young Emerging Artists series, Sonoma Community Center is busy organizing high caliber live music and performances that celebrate the Sonoma Valley. The fourth show in the winter series features singer/songwriter Sarah Summers, with friends, on Friday, Feb. 17, at 6:30 p.m. in Andrews Hall.
Sonoma Valley High School student and Valley resident Sarah Summers was the recipient of the 2011 Cultural and Fine Arts Commission’s Student Creative Arts Award. She won a cash prize and the opportunity to perform as part of Sonoma Community Center’s Young Emerging Artist series in Andrews Hall. Summers takes her inspiration from every-day life, and at just 18-years-old, is an accomplished singer, songwriter and instrumentalist.
Tickets are $10 apiece, for sale through the Sonoma Valley Box Office, and can be purchased online at www.sonomacommunitycenter.org, by phone at 938-4626, ext. 1, or in person at 276 E. Napa St. in Sonoma.
Any available tickets will also be for sale at the door on the night of the show.
All proceeds from the series benefit SCC’s arts education programs and community service events.
Sonoma Community Center exists to enrich the lives of the people of Sonoma Valley by fostering a broad range of cultural, educational, and community services, and through the preservation of its historic building.
