‘Stingers, Fangs and Venom’ Wednesday

The Valley of the Moon Nature Lecture series returns with “Stingers, Fangs and Venom” on Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Sonoma Valley Veterans memorial Building, 126 First St. W. The guest speaker will be Michael Marchiano, a Bay Area naturalist who will discuss the things that many fear: black widows, rattlesnakes, scorpions, tarantulas and more. Some of the creatures will be on display to see up close. Admission is $5. The event is sponsored by Sonoma County Regional Parks and SonomaBirding.com.
