Soroptimists to sell lobsters

Soroptimists International of Sonoma Valley has started its pre-sales of Maine lobsters for pickup at the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce front lawn, 651 Broadway, Saturday, May 19, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. 

  Advance orders are necessary and must be received by May 15. Lobsters sell for $25 each and are approximately one-and-one-half pounds. The lobsters will be flown into San Francisco from Maine on Saturday morning, May 19, and will be transported to Sonoma, where they can be picked up either live or cooked.

Proceeds from the sales are used to support Soroptimist local projects, that include Road to Reality for high school seniors, Movin’ On for middle school graduates and Newspapers in Education in grade schools among other programs.
