The 2012 spring season has sprung for six Sonoma Valley High School sports – including boys’ baseball, girls’ softball, boys’ tennis and golf, boys’ and girls’ track and field, and boys’ and girls’ swimming – and the spring Dragons have been fortunate for the unusually (and unfortunate) non-rainy weather of late.

Actually, while five of Sonoma’s spring sports continue workouts, with their live action on the horizon, the varsity baseball Dragons will put the first official ball in play when they host nonleague Washington of San Francisco in their 2012 season opener tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 18, at Arnold Field. The first pitch is scheduled for noon.
