Taking a step closer to successfully defending their Sonoma County League co-title, the first-place Sonoma Valley High School varsity volleyball girls registered another sweeping SCL victory by defeating Healdsburg 25-20, 25-18, 25-22 last night in Pfeiffer Gym.
In girls’ tennis, the Lady Dragons blanked new league foe Elsie Allen 7-0 yesterday afternoon in Santa Rosa to improve their SCL third-place record to 6-4.
Also playing yesterday were Sonoma’s varsity soccer boys, who avenged an earlier SCL overtime road loss to El Molino by soundly defeating the Lions 5-2 at the high school field.
As for the varsity soccer Lady Dragons, they will host SCL foe El Molino at 7 p.m. tonight at Arnold Field, with Sonoma honoring its seniors before the match.
