SONOMA VALLEY TENNIS Association will hold a New Year’s Day Social mixed doubles round-robin event at the Maxwell Farms Regional Park courts on Tuesday, Jan. 1, with warmups starting at 2 p.m., and play beginning promptly at 2:15. SONOMA VALLEY BABE Ruth Baseball Association will hold a board of directors meeting – open to the public – at 7 p.m. on Monday evening, Jan. 7, in the Arnold Field multi-pupose room and topping the agenda will be the nomination of officers, as well as any rule changes for the 2013 season. Anyone wishing to volunteer to serve on the board or any other position is encouraged to attend. SONOMA VALLEY HIGH School’s alumni committee organizing the 2013 Dragon Hall of Fame event, taking place Saturday, May 11, at Hanna Boys Center’s new facility on its Arnold Drive campus, needs help with its search for members of the Sonoma girls’ 1978 and ’79 cross country championship teams. The back-to-back title-winning Sonoma girls’ cross country championship teams members include Suzie Gitti, Cathy Bettencourt, Jennifer Secrist, Jane Fonseca, Kari Anderson, Paula Forrest, Julie Davidson, Connie Snyder, Jamie Pickering, Dolores Fernandez, Cindy Chambers, Cindy Archer, Katie Juffman, Lori Norlock, Kori Schake, Pam Masten, Joanne Morovich, Cheri Bauer, Julie Hirsh, Jeanne Martin, Macial Felton, Val Haase, Mary Ann Weber, Eve Decker, Patricia Gallagher, Karen Dimick, Madeline Potter, Jane Masten, Eve Eshelman, Gae Eshelman, Lisa Ross and Tami Chambers.
