Sonoma Gallery opens with reception Friday
“KNOCKOUT 2012” by Lia Transue, one of the artists who will be showing their work at the newly opened Sonoma Gallery.
The Valley is home to a new place to see art. Sonoma Gallery will showcase the work of local emerging and established artists, and is planning on launching with an opening reception on Friday, July 27, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Artists Lia Bonagura Transue, Caroline Patrick and Jackie Lee, will be in attendance at the opening reception, where anyone interested can stop by, have a glass of wine and see the variety of work on display. The gallery will show a total of nine painters, a wood sculptor, a metal sculptor, a card maker and a jeweler.
The painters are Transue, Lee and Cabaud, along with Mila Chaname-Hahn, Mike Hardin, Terri Holifield, Mark Lifvendahl, Rachael Montague and Caroline Patrick. The wood sculptor is Reno “Akiwai” Bruce and the metal sculptor is Donovan Martini. Nina Bonos makes greeting cards and Leah Johnson shows her jewelry work.
Normal hours at the gallery are Thursday through Monday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The gallery closes at 4 p.m. on Sundays.
