Something fishy at SVH?
Editor, Index-Tribune:
As a resident of Sonoma, am I the only one who thinks something fishy is going on with the entire Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation board resigning? This is clearly a case of 13 of our highly-regarded residents, who have voluntarily sat on this board, sending a loud signal that something is awry.
Could it be that the new hospital CEO has been busy protecting her turf by bullying and alienating those who might threaten her authority?
A little online research reveals that our hospital CEO, Kelly Mather, is not a resident of Sonoma and not even Sonoma County. Mrs. Mather commutes from Lakeport to serve as the hospital CEO and stays in her eastside rental home while in town.
One has to wonder if she receives any special compensation for housing. Are there not any qualified candidates right here in our town on whom we can bestow a $200K+ salary?
