Singer-songwriter series moves to Community Café
This summer, the Community Café, 875 W. Napa St., will house the Meadowcraft Wines’ music series, “Songwriters in Sonoma,” which will feature guest singer-songwriters at multiple performances over the course of the next three months.
The Meadowcraft Wines’ music series began in January 2011, and brings three songwriters together each month to perform original music.
The series will begin with a performance on Thursday, June 21, showcasing artists Katy Boyd, Adam Gottstein and Uni and her Ukelele. Boyd has drawn rave reviews and strong radio airplay throughout the U.S. and Europe for her latest CD “Paper Hearts,” a collection of poignant stories that are personal in their origins, but universal in their appeal. Gottstein, a resident of Amador County, is a member of a music trio called Over the Edge. Uni and her Ukelele began its life in 2004 as an outlet for an already accomplished singer to self publish and perform original work independently. Since then, Uni has released three full albums, numerous eps, collaborations and a covers album ranging from lo-fi indie pop to melodic strings to rock.
Tickets to the event are $10 and are available by calling the Meadowcroft Wines tasting room at 934-4090 or by visiting the website at www.meadowcroftwines.com.
