SONOMA’S Nigel Armstrong will offer a fundraising concert to support the Sonoma Classical Music Society on Jan. 5.

The Sonoma Classical Music Society continues its mission to bring the highest quality of classical music performances to Sonoma with its 2013 season. Concert will take place between January and May.

 On Saturday, Jan. 5, at 3 p.m., at a private home in Sonoma, a special fundraising concert featuring Nigel Armstrong and Elizabeth Dorfman in a performance of duets and solo works will take place. Tickets for this one-time event will be $100 a person.

  Hear the Italian Saxophone Quartet perform its eclectic blend of Baroque, classical and contemporary compositions, including some special surprises. The concert takes place Saturday, Feb. 16, at 3 p.m., at Vintage House, Sonoma.

  The Trio Con Brio  Copenhagen returns to Sonoma on Saturday, March 16, at 3 p.m. at a venue to be determined.

  On Sunday, May 19, at 3 p.m. at Vintage House, Sonoma, the Ives String Quartet from San Francisco makes its Sonoma debut. The program of works will include Haydn, Schulhoff and Debussy.

  Tickets for the February, March and May performance are $25 for adults, $20 for members of the Society, and $10 for students.

The Sonoma Classical Music Society was formed in 2004 with the mission of sponsoring a series of classical music concerts in Sonoma of the highest professional quality. An application for membership in the Sonoma Classical Music Society may be obtained at sonomaclassical.org.
