Sawyer a reasonable and practical choice
Editor, Index-Tribune:
I am writing in support of John Sawyer for 1st District Supervisor. I first met John about a year ago and since then have had many discussions about the challenges facing Sonoma County government. I am a farmer and a businessman with several operations throughout the county. I have lived in the Sonoma Valley for nearly 60 years. My background and my life revolve around agriculture. Ag is the single largest source of revenue for the county. Whether it be wine grapes, fruits and vegetables or animal agriculture, everything starts on the farm and goes to food, food service and the hospitality industry. Farmers are reasonable, practical business people, as well as the caretakers of our environment, contrary to some extremely liberal activists. I would challenge these people to walk in the shoes (boots) of a farmer.
The other problem that concerns me is the fact that Susan Gorin is not a property owner in the 1st District. Her largest supporter is the SEIU. The largest single problem facing Sonoma County government is the cost of labor and benefits. To whom would Ms. Gorin have allegiance, we the voters and property owners, or the SEIU.
Please join with me in electing John Sawyer to the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, a reasonable and practical choice.
