SONOMA ENROLLED AGENT INSTALLED AS DIRECTOR OF ASSOCIATION OF TAX PROFESSIONALS

(Sacramento, August 13) Ms. Lillian Meyers, EA, CFP^® of Sonoma has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the California Society of Enrolled Agents (CSEA), the nation’s largest statewide association of Enrolled Agents. Enrolled Agents are tax professionals licensed by the federal government to represent taxpayers and assist them with tax planning and the preparation of tax returns.

Ms. Meyers has been an Enrolled Agent for 18 years and joined CSEA in 1994. She has been active in numerous capacities at the state and local level, including CSEA’s Legislative Affairs and Public Information & Awareness Committees, among others.

Ms. Meyers, who owns a tax practice in Sonoma, was installed on July 12 in Redding at the Society’s Annual Meeting. The Far Northern California Chapter of CSEA hosted the four-day event, which included a golf tournament and workshops as well as the formal awards and installation banquet. In addition to numerous California CSEA Members, the President and the Secretary/Treasurer of the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) were in attendance.

CSEA is the membership society of California tax professionals who provide tax preparation, representation, tax planning and other financial services to individual and business taxpayers. Enrolled agents (EAs) are the only federally-licensed tax practitioners who specialize in taxation and also have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS – they’re America’s tax experts.
