Rika Optique opens on Broadway

Rita Barrera and Kaylyn Hyman have opened Rika Optique at 530 Broadway, featuring exclusive and special eye-wear with such name brands ad Ray Ban, Spy, Face a Face, Ogi, Seraphin, Roxy, Quicksilver and more.

Hyman has been in the optical business since 1982, the last 13 in Sonoma. Barrera was born and raised in St. Helena and has worked in the optical business since 1984,  and has managed optician offices.  Both women said that they have dreamed of owning and running their own business.

Barrera and Hyman announced that their business with be an optical boutique dedicated to personalized service in both prescription and nonprescription eyewear, featuring exclusive products, and the latest lens techniques.  They have an association with Sonja W. Schluter, MD  MPH, of Sonoma Eye, for customers requiring the services of an ophthalmologist.
