Ray Jacobsen tribute opens at Epicurean Connection

 

Sonoma Treasure Artist Ray Jacobsen was an institution in the local art scene as one of the founding members of the Arts Guild of Sonoma in 1977.

 Barbara Jacobsen will be hosting a tribute to her late husband’s colorful paintings at the Epicurean Connection, which opens with a welcoming reception tonight, Friday, Jan. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m.

 After co-founding the Arts Guild of Sonoma, Ray was an active and supportive member for 30 years, up until his death in 2007. He contributed his time and artwork to the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art as an advisory council member, a Wet Paint donor and an exhibitor in the Biennial and Sonoma Collects exhibitions. He also taught private classes in watercolor and oil painting.

The Epicurean Connection is located at 122 W. Napa St. There is no charge to attend. For more details, call 935-7960.
