Prestwood celebrates kindness

Prestwood School students had a goal of completing 500 random acts of kindness before Dec. 19. Their goal was to remember what the holiday season is all about – giving back to others. Whether it is returning carts in the store parking lot, raking a neighbor’s leaves, leaving quarters on a newspaper stand or giving toys to the Toys for Tots program, the students were looking to do good deeds. Red balloons with details of each student’s completed good deed are hanging in the multi-purpose room for all to see. Every student was asked to complete at least one random act of kindness in the community and some completed more. Red Prestwood School random acts of kindness cards were handed out in the community to represent the project. Pictured back from left are: second-graders Luc Rulmont, Corrine Gilman and Sophie Rulmont, fourth-grader Danielle Grippi and third-grader Tavin Rhodes. Front row, from left, are second-graders Cormac Rhodes, Dharma Niles, Jojo Grippi and kindergartner Teagan Rhodes.
