Ornamental grasses discussed at Quarryhill

Press Democrat garden columnist Rosemary McCreary will speak at a free workshop at Quarryhill Botanical Garden in Glen Ellen on Saturday, Aug. 25, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, discussing the use of ornamental grasses in gardening as a substitute to lawns.

  McCreary will present pros and cons and cultural tips for a range of grass species and cultivars.

  No reservations are required and visitors are welcome to walk the botanical garden free of charge before or after the workshop.
