Observatory open Saturday
The Robert Ferguson Observatory continues its popular solar viewings and star parties on Saturday, Oct. 13. The observatory is located in Sugarloaf Ridge State Park at 2605 Adobe Canyon Road.
From noon to 4 p.m., safely view the most popular star, the sun, on one of the telescopes. At night, from 8 to 11 p.m., the telescopes will be set up to see the fall sky. Ongoing presentations on astronomical topics are given in the classroom and docents are available to answer questions.
The cost is $3 for adults, free for those under 18. There is an $8 parking fee at Sugarloaf.
