Musical Market returns to the Moose Lodge
Gabriel Salkin, organizer of the Green World Musical Festival; and Aaron Mills of the Sunflower Caffe have established a new festival series, the Musical Market, which boasts the tagline “Bringing the ‘Unity’ Back in the Community.”
The series aims to bring four monthly festivals this summer. Each festival combines national and international touring acts, artisan food, drinks, unique shopping, yoga, local crafters and local farmers together for a day of culture and community. The second festival takes place Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Moose Lodge, from noon to midnight.
The daytime event is packed full of a variety of musical genres while the after-dark party continues with cutting edge musical acts. But the event is family friendly and meant for all ages.
The Aug. 25 lineup includes President Brown, Brandy Robinson, the Jolly Llamas, the Heaters, Traffic Jam, Cosmos Percussion Orchestra, Irie Sounds Intl., Superior Sound, Sleep Dank, DJ Evan Dixxon and a few surprise acts.
Tickets are $15 for the daytime event; $10 for the after-dark party; or $20 for an all-inclusive pass to both events. Tickets can be purchased at the door, or in advance at the Sunflower Caffe or Sonoma Old School.
