Michael Ebbert
Michael Ebbert
Michael Ebbert, 55, died on Sept. 19, 2012, while visiting his father in West Virginia
Michael was a 50-year-resident of Sonoma Valley. He was a master metalsmith and master of various other trades – a true renaissance man. His perfectionism and stubbornness yielded him many pleasures and frustrations. His brilliant and cantankerous nature will surely be missed.
Michael faced life with great courage and passion despite his battles with his physical being. He was a cancer survivor of 20-plus years.
He is now our ancestor, who has left a legacy of craftsmanship and integrity that will be remembered for a long time to come.
Michael is survived by his longtime sweetheart, Janice Sporrong; mother, Betty Hannah (Max) Ridenour; father, George (Evelyn) Ebbert; brothers, Dave Ebbert, Dan Ebbert, and Mark (Cynthia) Ebbert; uncle, Paul Ebbert; aunt, Shirley Hannah, many other relatives, as well as loads friends and loved ones.
There will be celebration of his life on Sunday Oct. 28.
