Mail-in ballots available from registrar of voters
Mail-in ballots for the Nov. 6, general election are available now from the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office.
Permanent mail-in ballots for those voters who reside in mailed ballot precincts can expect to receive their ballots within a week to 10 days.
County Clerk Janice Atkinson said that other voters who wish to vote by mail in this election must submit a personally signed request for the ballot to the Registrar of Voters Office either by mail or in person.
The last day to request a mail-in ballot is Tuesday, Oct. 30. For situations after Oct. 30, applications for mail-in ballots can be made in person up to and including the day of the election at the Registrar of Voters Office, 435 Fiscal Drive, Santa Rosa.
Voters returning their mail-in ballots should mail them back no later than Wednesday, Oct. 31. Voters can also return mail-in ballots to any polling place on election day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
