Len Handeland, hairstylist, who has been at Cheveux Salon in Sonoma on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, is moving his business to virtually full time in Sonoma.

After two years of splitting his time between Sonoma and San Francisco, Handeland, and his partner, Byron Hancock of Hancock-Partners, have given up their city digs and are making Sonoma their full-time home.
Effective April 12th, Handeland will be bringing his cutting and color expertise to Cheveux Salon on the Plaza on a full time basis.  He will continue to serve his San Francisco clients at the famed Frange Blue Salon (in Union Square) bi-weekly Thursdays and Fridays.

“My partner and I have been San Francisco residents for over 25 years and we were looking for a more relaxed and laid back life. We found it here in the Sonoma Valley. We just love this area, the beautiful landscape, the magnificent wines that are produced here in the valley, and of course the people,” Handeland stated.

He has more than 20-years of experience in the industry, including two years of extensive apprenticeship with Di Pietro Todd Salon and the former DeKroon Salon & Spa in San Francisco, where he learned his cutting and coloring skills. His advanced multi-year training with Vidal Sassoon and Toni & Guy allowed him to master the marriage between precision cutting and artistic expression.

He stated that he keeps up with all of the latest trends and techniques in hair coloring and styling by taking advanced classes at hairstyling academies such as Bumble and Bumble and Toni & Guy.
