Klein's work displayed at SCC
Ektoskeletal Torsos, porcelain 17 x 14 x 6" photo by CM Illgen
Sonoma Community Center will present an exhibit of new sculptural work, created by Marsha Klein during an artist residency fellowship at Womens’ Studio Workshop in New York last autumn.
The exhibit will open on Friday, July 13, with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. and run through Saturday, July 28 in Gallery 212 at the Sonoma Community Center.
Shown together for the first time publicly, Klein’s ceramic sculptures present a mysterious vision of biomorphic forms and ectoskeletal torsos caught in a process of metamorphosis.
The artist will be available in Gallery 212 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 1 to 4 p.m. for the duration of the exhibit.
For more information, call the Sonoma Community Center at 938-4626, ext. 1.
The Sonoma Community Center is located at 276 E. Napa St., Sonoma.
