Kent Quiring

  Kent Quiring passed peacefully away on August 4, 2012, at home in Sonoma, his parents at his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 65.

  A native of San Francisco, he was born to Jacob and Franchesca Quiring, on July 22, 1947. He was a graduate of Lowell High School, San Francisco, class of 1964. He entered the Air Force after two years of college and served his county from 1966 to 1969. Part of that time he served in Turkey.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Duggan’s Mission Chapel, Sonoma.

  Interment was held yesterday, Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon.

  An Air Force honor guard presented the honors at the interment and presented the flag to the family.

  Donations in his name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4340 Redwood Highway, Suite D314, San Rafael, CA 94903-2125.
