KSVY seeks to serve all Sonoma
Editor, Index-Tribune:
This is to correct letter-writer Georgia Kelly (Aug. 14, “What’s up at KSVY?”) regarding programs on the local radio station, KSVY 91.3 FM.
The station’s continuing mission is to serve the entire Sonoma community, and our policy has always been to discourage partisan program elements, which can often be divisive rather than cohesive.
The approach of the 2012 election season was again a time to ensure that the political programming KSVY does carry aims for balance among differing opinions, just as our community itself has a range of opinions.
The several changes presently being made to our program schedule reflect the charge given to our new program director, Stan Pappas, to provide the forum that Ms. Kelly desires, and we encourage all members of the community to express their opinions and to participate in keeping KSVY a valued part of Sonoma Valley.
We hope your readers will tune in and listen to the variety of local talent featured on the radio station. They can also visit sonomasunfm.com to see the full array of scheduled shows, including the line-up of guests on The Morning Show with Ken Brown, heard every weekday 8 to 10 a.m. and carried live on SVTV Channel 27.
