Joseph Francis Kelly Jr.

 Joseph Francis Kelly Jr., passed peacefully away on Dec. 14, 2012, in Petaluma.
  A native of Philadelphia, Pa., Joe was born to Joseph and Marie Kelly on Oct. 29, 1923.
  He married Frances Wigfall on Oct. 19, 1946, and they had two children and after numerous military assignments, including Rota, Spain, they settled in San Francisco. He was a lieutenant commander, U.S. Navy (1942-1964). His Naval service included; World War II F4U Fighter Aircraft Carrier pilot, and Lighter-than-air pilot; Berlin Airlift and Bureau of Naval Weapons Representative.
  Joe and Frances moved to San Francisco in 1964 and after his military service he worked for Crocker Bank, as a trust officer in San Francisco from 1964-1983. He was a Sonoma resident and bike path-walker since 2004.
  He and Frances loved to go dancing every Friday night at the officers club at the Presidio, a very special night for them.
  He was the loving father of Suzanne Kelly and Joseph Kelly; and loving father-in-law of Claudia Leiva Kelly; beloved grandfather of Christian and Leslie Geddes.
  Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife Frances R.W. Kelly (1925-1997).
  At the families request no formal services will be held.
