John (Jack) Nelson Harmon

John (Jack) Nelson Harmon passed away peacefully at his home Aug. 18, 2012. He was born Oct. 24, 1941, in Chester, Maine, and moved to Sonoma in 1961 and made Sonoma his home.

  Jack worked as a heavy equipment operator and retired in 1992.

  He is survived by his two daughters, Debra Brain, of Red Bluff and Theresa Harmon, of Sonoma; sister, Mona Whitting, of Los Angeles; two brothers, Leo Harmon, of Brunswick, Maine and Bob Harmon, of Milnocket, Maine; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held at the Valley Cemetery on Aug. 25, 2012, where he was laid to rest. Family and friends gathered after for a celebration of his life.
